Antoni Gaudí's basilica in Barcelona, under construction since 1882. In February 2026 the cross was placed on the central Tower of Jesus Christ, bringing it to its full height of 172.5 meters and making it the tallest church in the world.
Gaudí led the work until his death in 1926, and the Skyscraper Center lists Jordi Faulí as architect of record. Work on the main Glory facade and its towers continues, and the basilica as a whole is expected to be finished around 2034.
