A concrete coastal highway planned to run about 750 km from Victoria Island in Lagos to Calabar, through nine coastal states including Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers.
Work started on the Lagos end in March 2024. The first 47 km section opened to traffic in December 2025. In October 2026 the works minister said five of the nine sections were under way and the whole road would be done in just over three years. Its cost, the contract award and demolitions along the route have drawn heavy criticism.
