Georgetown has no skyscrapers, and the 12-floor glass Atlantic Tower of the Pegasus Suites & Corporate Centre, beside the Atlantic seawall in Kingston, is one of the tallest buildings in the city. It holds 80 hotel rooms and suites, now run as the Atlantic Suites Hotel, next to a seven-floor office and podium building with about 180,000 square feet of offices and restaurants, solar panels on the roof and parking for over 250 cars.
Robert Badal, owner of the neighboring Pegasus Hotel, built the US$100 million project on a former dump site; it took about four years and opened in July 2022, with labor from China Harbour Engineering Company. In August 2026 Hyatt announced that a new tower will be built next door and joined by a bridge, so that both become the 240-room Hyatt Regency Georgetown Guyana in 2028. The height in meters has not been published.
