A twisting 673-foot observation tower with a 70-foot orb near the top, planned for a parking lot at 1546 California Street, just off the 16th Street Mall. Visitors would ride glass pods that circle the spiral.
Paris-based Magnicity, which runs 360 Chicago, came up with the concept. In 2026 the project moved into detailed design and engineering, but it still needs city approval and has no construction date.
