A residential tower beside La Carolina park in northern Quito and the first building in South America by the Danish firm BIG. Stacked L-shaped concrete modules step in and out, and every balcony carries planters, so the tower reads as a vertical extension of the park, with views to the Andes. It has coworking space, shops, a pool and a gym.
Uribe Schwarzkopf announced IQON in 2016, building started in 2018, and the tower was finished in 2022 and handed over to residents in 2023. It was the tallest building in Quito until Qondesa. The Skyscraper Center lists 133 meters and 33 floors; other sources give 130 meters and 32 floors.
